Application Process

 

Thank you for your interest in the Duke Internal Medicine Residency Program.  Our program only accepts applications through ERAS.  Any information submitted outside of ERAS cannot be accepted.  We will be accepting applications until midnight November 2, 2009 and will be notifying applicants who are selected for interviews by the end of November. What is required for the application to Duke?
·         ERAS application
·         USMLE * Step 1 Score
·         Medical school transcript
·         Personal statement
·         Dean's letter
·         3 letters of recommendation
 
* If accepted to the program, you will need to successfully complete both parts of USMLE step 2 in order to start the program.  It is strongly encouraged that you take both parts of USMLE step 2 prior to March 1 to permit reporting of scores prior to the start of orientation in late June.  Reporting of USMLE scores can take up to approximately 8 weeks.  Consult the USMLE Policy for full details.
 
Visa Information
·         We accept only J-1 Visas.
 
Openings other than PGY 1
·         We do not accept applications for PGY 2 or PGY 3 positions.
