Diana McNeill, MD, FACP

 
 
 
Dr. Diana McNeill received both her undergraduate degree and her medical degree from Duke.  She completed her residency at the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, and came back to Duke to complete a fellowship in Endocrinology. 
 
She is board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism.  Dr. McNeill is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society.  Her research interests include Combination Therapy in Type 2 Diabetes, Diabetes and Pregnancy, and Intensive Insulin Therapy. 


She has won a number of teaching awards, including the Eugene B. Stead Teaching Award given by the Duke Housestaff and the Master Clinician Educator Award, Duke University Medical Center 2006. 
 
She holds the position of Vice Chair of Education, 2001 to present.  She held the position of Co-Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at Duke from July 1, 2001 until June 30, 2002.  She was then promoted to Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program starting July 1, 2002 and currently holds this position.
